A Canadian Medical Hall of Famer, Dr. David Naylor was the Chair of the committee looking at Canada's response to SARS in 2003. He joins host Edward Greenspon for a discussion about what we're learning about and from the COVID-19 pandemic. What did Canada look like after SARS and what will Canada look like beyond COVID?

Listen in with Dr. David Naylor. David has been explaining this disease and its frightening spread on Twitter with his very inquisitive dog, Oscar. I recommend you check it out @cdavidnaylor.

Dr. Naylor is a professor of medicine at the University of Toronto, and President Emeritus at University of Toronto. He has served in many roles, including as chair of the Federal Advisory Panel on Healthcare Innovation (2014-15) and Canada’s National Advisory Committee on SARS and Public Health (2003), whose work contributed to the creation of the Public Health Agency of Canada.

David has been a relentless builder of institutions that can capture and apply health care knowledge as Founding Director of Clinical Epidemiology at Sunnybrook Health Science Centre and Founding CEO of the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences.

He has also been called on over and over to dispense policy advice to governments on such matters as heath innovation and promoting scientific research.

Thank you for joining us David.
