Nadia Theodore
Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organization
Nadia Theodore began her public service career with the Canada Revenue Agency in 2000. She then moved to the Department of the Solicitor General, before joining International Trade Canada in 2004. At headquarters, she was Director of Negotiations for the Trans-Pacific Partnership, Director of the Secretariat for the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement between Canada and the European Union, and Chief of Staff to the Deputy Minister of International Trade. Abroad, she worked at the Permanent Mission in Geneva from 2009 to 2012 and as Consul General in Atlanta from 2017 to 2020. Most recently, she worked as Senior Vice President at Maple Leaf Foods, a Canadian consumer packaged goods company and the world’s first major carbon-neutral food company. Nadia earned her master’s degree in political science from Carleton University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of London.
