In 2013, the Forum convened diverse stakeholders for a frank discussion about the future of Canada’s nuclear energy sector. Through expert workshops in Saskatoon and Toronto, and an Executive Summit in Ottawa, we explored some of the most pressing long-term issues facing the industry.  This final report synthesizes the results of these meetings, and summarizes the overall findings of our project.

The objective of the sessions was to strengthen the engagement of Canada’s nuclear energy industries as they contemplate an uncertain future. The project identified some critical challenges that need to be addressed to make the sector more competitive and resilient, along with important opportunities. The report concludes with suggestions for the development of a long-term strategy.
