Kim Henderson

Kim Henderson is a principal at Sproat Advising, an independent consultancy offering advisory services to businesses.

Kim has broad expertise in policy and government. Her work focuses on helping organizations develop and refine their strategies with governments in the areas of climate and economic policy, as well as procurement.

Before transitioning into consulting, Kim spent nearly 20 years in senior public sector roles, including 11 years with the Government of British Columbia, most recently as deputy minister to the premier, cabinet secretary and head of the public service. Before that, she was the province’s deputy minister of finance and secretary of the treasury board.

Kim was a member of the Blue Ribbon Panel on Alberta’s Finances in 2019 (also known as the MacKinnon Panel) where she was a key part of a team tasked with reviewing Alberta’s finances and economy.

Kim earned a University of Victoria Distinguished Alumni award in 2015 and was named to the Women Executive Network’s Top 100 list — which recognizes professional women who set a bold example across roles, ages, and industries — in 2012.

Kim has a master’s degree in public administration from the University of Victoria.
