The 2017 Governor General’s Innovation Award

For the second year in a row, Governor General David Johnston honored eight of Canada’s trailblazing innovators who reshaped lives nationally and abroad. In 2017, awards were handed out to a new way of treating hearing deficits in developing countries around the globe, plastics in the body that will not cause blood clots and for a digital project dedicated to conserving Indigenous languages.
