The Next One: Preparing Canada for another health emergency

PPF Member Event

A new PPF report called The Next One: Preparing Canada for Another Health Emergency outlines lessons learnt from the pandemic and recommendations to safeguard Canadians from another health emergency. The report was informed and inspired by discussions within PPF’s Life Sciences Forum, where ongoing dialogue and collaboration between the life sciences sector and government seeks to improve Canada’s level of preparedness for future health threats.

This report highlights strategic questions for government and industry decision-makers, as well as providing an initial roadmap for identifying competitive advantages within Canada’s life sciences sector.

PPF members are invited to join the Public Policy Forum on October 13, 2023 for a virtual conversation about the report. Panelists will include: Mark Lievonen, Co-Chair of the Life Sciences Forum and Co-Chair of COVID-19 Vaccine Task Force, as well as report author Christopher Waddell, Professor Emeritus, School of Journalism and Communication, Carleton University, and Kathleen Gnocato, Vice-President, Strategic Engagement, Public Policy Forum.

This event is exclusive to PPF Members. If you are interested in learning more about membership, please contact the Strategic Engagement Team at membership@ppforum.ca.
