Is an EU-like arrangement the answer to Canada’s trade crisis?

Canada’s happy and beneficial trade arrangement with the U.S has all but ended. And while the change has seemed sudden and alarming, it was not totally unforeseeable to those watching the bigger shifts in global trade. Among those who predicted this moment is Roger Martin. He’s the former dean of the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management, a best-selling author and a strategic advisor to multinational companies.

This week, he talks to host Amanda Lang about how globalization began to unravel, the problems with U.S.-Canada trade and why Canada needs to ‘ask the EU question’ about its relationship with America.
