Marta Morgan

Marta Morgan is an experienced leader in policy and government. Before joining the Public Policy Forum — first as Strategic Advisor to the President, then as a Fellow — she was the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Marta’s career has included leadership positions in the Government of Canada, as well as in the private sector. She has significant experience in economic policy, immigration and foreign policy.
Prior to Global Affairs, Marta was the Deputy Minister of Immigration. She has broad experience in the development of economic policy, at the Departments of Finance and Industry.
She served six years as Vice President Competitiveness and International at the Forest Products Association of Canada, where she worked effectively with Canadian industry and government to advance the economic competitiveness of the sector.
Marta has an honours degree in economics from McGill University and a master’s in public policy from the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
