Fatemah joined PPF in May 2021 as a Policy Associate.
She immigrated from Tanzania at a very young age but nonetheless saw the many barriers her parents faced when integrating into Canadian society. From here, she knew she wanted to pursue a career related to public policy and was driven to ignite positive and meaningful change at the grassroots level. Fatemah is incredibly passionate about immigration, multiculturalism, and social policy, but also holds a keen interest in public opinion and digital governance.
She recently graduated with a Master of Public Policy at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, specializing in Ethnic and Pluralism Studies. She also holds a Bachelor of Public Affairs and Policy Management from Carleton University, with a specialization in Strategic Public Opinion and Policy Analysis. Prior to PPF, Fatemah worked in Ontario’s Cabinet Office, the Ministry of Labour, and Global Affairs Canada.
Although she lives in Innisfil, Fatemah calls Ottawa her second home. When she’s not reading, you’ll find her punching her stress away in a kickboxing class or discovering inner peace with yoga.
