Director of Public Policy, Southeast and Northeast Asia, Uber
Emilie Potvin brings knowledge of networks of policy making in Ottawa and recent experience with a disruptive technology company and working in Asia.
Emilie Potvin currently serves as the Director of Public Policy for Southeast and Northeast Asia for Uber where she is at the intersection of bringing disruptive technology into emerging markets. Previous, she served as Vice President, Public Affairs and Stakeholder Relations at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce where she responsible for overseeing all external communications, media relations and public relations for the organization.
She also served at Canada’s Sherpa to the B20 Coalition- the Business group affiliated to the G20 and G8 processes. Prior to joining that role, she served as Chief of staff to two ministers in the Canadian Government and held a number of positions in the private sector with companies such as Bombardier and CAE. Her career began as a Foreign Service Officer where she worked on G8 Summits and in the Eastern Africa division. She holds an MBA in International Management from HEC Montréal and a degree in political Science from the Université de Montréal.
