The world was changing prior to COVID-19. Technology and geopolitics were transformed by the rise of intangible capital and its tendency towards a “winner-take- all” paradigm. One manifestation was a new U.S.-China “cold war.” Another was the rise of big global tech giants. COVID-19 has exacerbated these trends.
Join our webinar and panel discussion as we aim to make sense of these developments by examining what they mean for Canada, and what Canadian policymakers should do about them.
Panel, Moderated by Dale Eisler, Senior Policy Fellow, Johnson Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy, University of Regina
Panelists:
Edward Greenspon, President & CEO of the Public Policy Forum
Robert Asselin, Fellow at the Public Policy Forum
Sean Speer, Fellow in Residence and Prime Minister of Canada Fellow at the Public Policy Forum
Register Online to join via Zoom: Event is 1:30 – 3:00 CST / 2:30 – 4:00 EST
